A cold sore fever blister is not only quite nasty to look at and cause a great deal of embarrassment to anyone who has them but they can also be highly painful too. Cold sores will tend to begin feeling quite tingly as you are about to have an outbreak, then as the actual cold sores begin to appear on your skin they will then start to be painful. In fact most suffers say that they throb and feel as though they are burning.
Obviously if you have a cold sore fever you will not just want to know how to get rid of it, you will also want to be able to control the pain that is associated with it as this can be just as bad as the blisters themselves. One way of treating the pain is to buy over the counter painkillers and use them as directed but many people do not like to take painkillers too often. If this is the case you might want to try using ice on the cold sores to provide some relief.
Put the ice in a cloth or bag and hold on the cold sores for as long as you can stand it and you will find that the pain is reduced significantly.
